Last October 26 -27, 2008, TAYO 6 Luzon Area Finals took place in Malolos, Bulacan. Mr. Robert James Nepomuceno, Project Head of PagSIBOL represented the organization in the presentation. He is accompanied by  Ms. Adreana Santos, President; Ms. Eva Celis, Vice President and Ms. Joy Camille Baldo, Secretary. They brought home good news.

UP SIBOL is now one of the TOP 5 organizations in Luzon Area in this year’s Ten Accomplished Youth Organization (TAYO) 6. The organization has passed the criterias to be one of the few nominees for the award. UP SIBOL is now qualified for the NATIONAL FINALS wherein the TOP 10 TAYO organizations in the Philippines will be chosen. The NATIONAL FINALS of TAYO will take place on December.

Schedule of Activities

The strategic planning workshop is a three-day workshop for the Executive Committee
(ExeCom) and members of UP SIBOL. The activity primarily aims to enhance the participants’ skills in developing an efficient and effective planning strategy. It would also focus on the guidelines on good management in better achieving the organization’s goals.

OBJECTIVES
After the strategic planning workshop, the participants must be able to:
1. Describe the present status of the organization;
2. Enumerate the needs of the organization;
3. Devise a communication plan;
4. Define leadership in line with the organization’s goal and objectives;
5. Organize a calendar of activities for one term (A.Y. 2007-2008); and
6. Formulate a mission & vision statement for this term.

Service to humanity is the main agenda of most political aspirants and the promise of many a great men and women. Despite this, the need for help is continually increasing. This justifies the existence of UP SIBOL.

UP SIBOL is a socio-civic organization at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. It caters to the upliftment of the marginalized sector of the society. This student organization fulfills its objectives through its activities which are oftentimes community-based.
